Elaiza Ikeda’s journey began at 13, when she won the Grand Prix Nicola Model Audition in 2009—an achievement inspired by her mother and one that launched her modeling career. Two years later, she went into acting, debuting with Japanese film High School Debut (2011), based on the eponymous manga.
Soon, Ikeda wasn’t just modeling or acting—she immersed herself in fashion, experimented behind the camera, and even explored music.

After several appearances in film, her breakout came in 2017 with her first lead role in Make a Bow and Kiss, which opened doors to leading roles in Japanese television. Ikeda’s prominence grew with her leading role in Sadako (2019) and her striking dual performance in the two-part live-action Kakegurui films. She became a familiar face on Japan’s television and cinema screens, solidifying her presence on and off-screen.

Under the mononym ELAIZA, she debuted as a singer in 2021 with the single “Close to You,” an upbeat track that led to her first album Paradise Lost. Since then, she has released music consistently, with two albums and multiple singles each year.
