It was her usual entrance: a Michael Leyva ensemble, an ever-commanding presence, and skin so luminous it rendered foundation irrelevant. Question buzzed and whispers circled until, finally, Heart confirms it herself: no foundation, just the new Centella Sun Serum by Luxelle.
The Sun Serum is exactly what it is. A skincare-suncare hybrid, this lightweight daily sunscreen guards against UV rays while hydrating, brightening, and boosting skin’s elasticity. Its star ingredient is centella asiatica, known for soothing redness and irritation, something Heart herself has openly struggled with.
“I’ve always been open about having urticaria. I also have breakouts from time to time, so my team and I said, ‘okay, centella is the best, so let’s try it out,’” she tells MEGA. “And so I tested this for a few months, and it took less than a week to see that it was insanely beautiful on my skin. There was an instant glow, instant calming effect, and it was not at all oily.” She even went on to express her disdain for oily sunscreen formulas that would make her hair and hands oily. To Heart, SPF matters, but God forbid it turns her hands into a threat to her handbags.
She then reveals the quiet dare behind the decision to attend a major event—the MEGA Ball, no less—with nothing on but this.
“I loved it so much that I made my whole team try it. Then, that night, I said, ‘You know what? Dare me, and I’m going to the Ball without anything on,” she laughs. “And I’m not the type; I always have makeup on.”
Still, there she was. A bit of blush, brows, eyeliner, lips, and the tiniest bit of coverage around the nose. But the base? “It was really just the Centella Sun Serum.”
