They say the eyes are the window to the soul—but in Asia, the brows tell you where that soul’s been. Over time, they have been quiet markers of identity that mirror the beauty ideals of home, whether that be bold in some places or barely there in others. Brow trends may travel all over the world, but certain styles stay loyal to their roots. One glance, and it’s almost too easy to guess.

Note, however, that this isn’t a hard formula. In the West, brows are often loud, graphic, and defined. In Asia, it’s a different conversation. The shapes are softer, quieter, and more in sync with local beauty codes. And when you notice the contrast with the West and how brows behave within Asian borders, patterns start to emerge.
Philippines

If you’ve seen the likes of Liza Soberano, Pia Wurtzbach, and Andrea Brillantes, you needn’t know what brow trend reigns in the country. Full, dark, and always intentional, they always seem to be ready for the front-facing camera.
Thailand

Thais live between dream and discipline. Eyebrows here are soft, airy, and ever-so-slightly sculpted, but don’t mistake that for laziness. Stars like Baifern Pimchanok wear theirs like a mood.
South Korea

We see many women in South Korea sporting straight, low, and quietly precise shapes. They’re made to look effortless, even when they take effort. Irene of Red Velvet and Bae Suzy keep theirs so soft, it’s almost suspicious.
Indonesia

Indonesian brows are full but not messy. Thick with intent, they’re bold, balanced, and shaped like you mean it. Just look at Agnez Mo and Maudy Ayunda, who prove you can do drama and discipline in a single brow stroke.
Japan

If you’re familiar with the pre-modern practice of hikimayu (引眉), you’ll know that Japanese beauty never always treated brows as fixed. Women used to shave them off entirely, only to redraw them. Today’s brows aren’t that extreme, but the instinct for control remains; look at Kiko Mizuhara and Ai Tominaga.
