Get inspired by Miss Universe Philippines 2018, Catriona Gray, as she elevates her beach photos with effortless poses and clever props

Just last night, the Miss Universe Philippines 2018 was announced. Congratulations to the beautiful Catriona Gray!
After winning Miss World Philippines 2016 and being part of the top 5 finalists of Miss World 2016, the Filipino-Australian beauty is in the spotlight once again.
We’ve also noticed that the beauty is fond of spending time by the water, documenting her beach trips with a range of  poses, from candid to fierce. And since summer is coming up, we can definitely get a few pointers from her:

1. Easy breezy

How I feel now that I’m (finally) back in the place I grew up in. 😄💕🌊

In a beach trip to Australia last December, Catriona showed us how to do candid without looking too candid. Sitting cross-legged on the sand, she let her hair loose and enjoyed the afternoon breeze in a flattering angle.

2. Props, props, props

Sometimes, using whatever prop is closest to you makes for a more interesting photo. Here, she uses everyone’s favorite summer drink: buko juice!

3. Know yourself

I’m a happy clam!! 🌊🐚😍👒☀ #RoaringAdventures #CatelleTravels

It helps to know your best features, being confident enough to show them off. Showing off her long legs, Catriona posed at the edge of her boat while on a tour in Coron, Palawan.

4. Back at it

Being a tourist in my home town! 🏃🇦🇺☀🍃

If you want the view you’re looking at to be the focal point of your photo, pose with your back to the camera. The beauty is seen doing this pose while visiting Josephine Falls in Queensland, Australia.

5. Under the sea

Catriona loves to document her adventures, as seen in a photo of her scuba diving trip in Balicasag, Bohol. Rather than the typical beach poses we’re used to seeing all over Instagram, she mixes things up with a photo that is fun and authentic.
