There is something about women who unapologetically go after what they want, not just chasing success on their own terms, but building something that matters to them. These are women who move through limitations and setbacks with conviction, unafraid to carve their own paths. They know what they’re here to do—and not, do they do it with heart and hustle. One of them is Singapore-based fashion influencer and entrepreneur Savina Chow. A self-confessed rebel, she’s been doing things her way from the start.

Chow has built a reputation as a fashion insider, with an eye for brand storytelling and cultural relevance. On her creatively curated Instagram feed (@savinachow), where she shares her chic outfits of the day and sleek designer looks, partnering with luxury brands like Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Salvatore Ferragamo. But beyond the polished posts is a woman with serious entrepreneurial drive. Her latest venture, Blunies, is a collagen-infused deodorant brand launched in 2023 that quickly went viral on TikTok, gaining widespread attention and redefining an often-overlooked category.
Why a deodorant brand? “I really wanted to bring some excitement to deodorant,” she says. “It’s a product people use every day, but it’s never really talked about. I wanted to bring my beauty and skincare experience into that category.”
Blunies promises not just odor control, but skin-brightening benefits within three months. More than just another pretty product, it’s skincare-meets-wellness. Chow shared they hope to launch the brand in the Philippines. “It’s going to be one of our key markets,” she added, hinting at expansion plans and new scents and variants by the second half of the year.

FASHION ON HER MIND
From a young age, Chow always had fashion on her mind. While other kids were focused on their studies, she was already dreaming about making a name in the fashion industry and of starting her own business. “Selling bracelets, that kind of stuff really excited me. Not being in a classroom,” she said.
She admits her parents weren’t thrilled with her unconventional path at first. “My parents, as all parents do, always wanted me to study hard and go to university,” she said. Despite her low scores on the O-levels, Singapore’s national exam, Chow was determined to follow her passion. Ever the rebel, she put together a portfolio of fashion design sketches to secure a place in the fashion design course at Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore.

FORGING HER OWN PATH
Savina focused on carving out her own path, a determination that would later fuel her business ventures and establish her as a trailblazer in fashion and beauty. At just 19, she launched her first business—a womenswear label called Eight Slate.
While managing her brand, Chow discovered the power of social media to connect with her customers and build a community. She began sharing photos of herself wearing her pieces, offering styling tips and ideas that resonated with her growing audience. This period helped her build an online presence and hone her storytelling and content creation expertise. What started as a way to showcase her clothing soon evolved into a full-fledged career.
When asked about the secret to building a loyal following, her answer was simple: “It’s always about offering value to the audience. That’s always been my number one priority—giving them inspiration on how to dress, style bags or basics,” she said. “There is really no trick. It’s about consistently offering value.”
