An intimate exchange between generations, MEGA pairs actress, model and entrepreneur Wilma Doesnt and daughter, model and law student Asiana in a striking dialogue—where beauty is both inherited and reimagined. Across this season’s most compelling trends in skin, makeup, and hair, each interprets the looks in her own way: the daughter with playful ease and experimentation, the mother with polish, nuance, and quiet confidence. In the process, they borrow from one another—fresh perspective meeting lived ritual—proving that beauty is not fixed by age but continually shaped by influence, curiosity, and time.

A sheer look for skin may prove to be a bit of a challenge for those with more mature skin as it reveals more than one may be comfortable with. Makeup artist Xeng Zulueta says, “Skin prep is the most important step as it’ll prevent the makeup from getting disrupted. You also need to know where to remove shine, and where to retain it.” Xeng suggests swiping a light, and invisible blurring powder only on areas where you tend to perspire.

Both Wilma and Asiana have naturally curly hair that’s perennially prone to frizz. The trend this season sees a  shift away from over-styled hair, focusing on air-dried or minimally styled, healthy curls. The aim here is to simply add volume to the roots and embrace your natural texture with the help of products such as

For this look, hairstylist Reese Roque used a diffuser to minimize frizz and lend softness to strands. Wilma also shared, “I’ve always relied on shampoos and conditioners that are paraben-free—these are the only types of products that I find work well for my curls, and Asiana’s too. That’s one beauty tip I’ve passed on to Asiana so we’ve been using paraben-free products talaga ever since.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Beauty is presented as a dialogue where fresh perspective meets lived ritual. Asiana approaches trends with playful experimentation and ease, while Wilma interprets them with polish and quiet confidence. They borrow from one another, proving that beauty is shaped by a mix of curiosity and time rather than being fixed by age.

The focus is on high-hydration, serum-based formulas that create a breathable glow. For mature skin, makeup artist Xeng Zulueta emphasizes that skin prep is the most vital step to prevent makeup disruption. The strategy involves a selective use of invisible blurring powder only on areas prone to perspiration to maintain a soft-focus finish.

There is a significant shift away from over-styling toward embracing healthy, air-dried, or minimally styled hair. The goal is to highlight natural texture and add volume at the roots. Hairstylist Reese Roque utilizes tools like a diffuser to minimize frizz while lending a deliberate softness to the strands.

Wilma emphasizes the use of paraben-free shampoos and conditioners, noting they are the only products that effectively manage their naturally curly hair. This practical tip has become a shared generational ritual, ensuring both mother and daughter maintain the health and integrity of their curls.

The technique relies on strategic placement rather than total matte coverage. It requires knowing exactly where to remove shine to avoid a greasy appearance and where to retain it to preserve a youthful, hydrated glow, ensuring the skin remains radiant but controlled.
