Memories are priceless assets. To make this year meaningful and memorable, consider investing in experiences like concerts and festivals
They say money can’t buy happiness, but we all know it’s the memories we all invest in: concerts, festivals, traveling—they may be on the pricier side of life, but the happiness we feel makes it worth it. For a meaningful 2025, consider saving up to see the artist you’re a big fan of or tick off that local trip from your travel goals with your friends. As fleeting as experiences are, they break us out of the mundanity to give us joy and memories we’ll always remember.

Concerts
Despite the long queue times, especially during the ticket sale, the joy of securing a ticket, even if it’s as far as the general admission section, is immeasurable. While only a few hours long, we all know that it takes at least a day to prepare for the concert, from the concert outfit, makeup, and banners, especially if you opt to queue eight hours before the concert.
Nothing ever beats the feeling of screaming the lyrics of your favorite song at the top of your lungs, but when it’s being performed by your favorite artist along with a thousand other people in an arena, it’s priceless. Next time you’re thinking about watching your favorite artist’s concert, go for it.
Travel
Don’t you just love peeking over the skylines from the airplane window? Whether you’re traveling by air, water, or land, it’s incredibly fulfilling to experience new cultures. From sightseeing, visiting the night markets, and cafe hopping to participating in various activities and taking pictures of the scenery, traveling will always be one of the best ways to make memories—alone and with friends!
It’s a pretty hefty price to pay, to be honest. With the travel means, accommodations, food, and activity fees, budgeting is very important when it comes to traveling. Be sure to have an itinerary and a price range so you don’t blow through your wallet before you come back home!
Festivals
Relatively a bit cheaper than the former two, there are various festivals all over the Philippines to experience: art festivals, music festivals, and even food festivals! Sure, you’re most likely to spend a few pesos or more to buy various souvenirs and food, and maybe to listen to the performers, but being in the moment to experience the festivals is incredibly fun and memorable.
The point of festivals is to expose yourselves to various people, delicacies, and sounds. Buying souvenirs is part of the experience! The most important thing to remember when going to festivals is to have fun making memories.
Classes
Learning something new entails new memories to unlock! Just here in Metro Manila, there are many classes you could take to tick off that “learn something new” resolution. Plus, these classes could potentially give you a new hobby or passion for a productive and fulfilling 2025.
If you want to learn to be more confident with yourself, you always learn how to dance, especially with some studios offering summer classes with a concert at the end. If you’re a foodie, consider taking baking classes that range from baking macaroons to a whole cake. Wanna get down and dirty? Pottery classes are a bit in the pricier range, but the results are always worth it! And if you have a bigger budget and are feeling adventurous, there are some metalsmithing studios in the metro to teach you how to make rings and other pieces of jewelry.
