Some say that before artists make it big, they first have to prove themselves with a mall show at Market! Market! While it’s easy to dismiss this as a made-up coincidence on social media, there are instances where musicians have managed to go far after notable shows at the popular mall. One such act is KATSEYE. In September 2024, the girl group traveled to the Philippines for the first time as part of their debut Asian tour, where the girls, among other things, held a fan showcase at Market! Market!
Despite the inclement weather at the time, thousands packed the mall to watch the showcase, much to the members’ surprise and shock. Videos on social media showed a hyped crowd that looked as if they were at an actual concert. To many, it was one of the early signs that KATSEYE would be going places. And true enough, they have. Now, two and a half years later, the group is returning to the Philippines to hold not one, but two concerts across two cities in the country that serve as somewhat of a full-circle moment for the young ladies.

KATSEYE Is Coming to Manila and Cebu
In what can be considered an early Christmas present for Filipino EYEKONS, Live Nation Philippines announced that KATSEYE is bringing THE WILDWORLD TOUR to the country in early 2027 as part of the tour’s Asia leg. The group will hold a concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 29, 2027, and notably, will also be heading south to Cebu for a concert at the SM Seaside Cebu Arena on February 7, 2027, making them one of the first global acts to hold a show at the newly opened venue.
While most international artists hold their concerts in and around Manila, it’s rare to see them do so outside the capital, so for KATSEYE to do so is both commendable and allows more Filipino EYEKONS to watch them if they can’t make it to Manila. Also, with these two shows, it makes the Philippines the only country on the Asia leg where KATSEYE will be performing in more than one city so far.
Concertgoers can register for membership to have access to presale starting on October 29 to November 1, with a handful of presales available for fans to score tickets early. EYEKONS membership registration runs from Oct. 29 at 11 AM to Nov. 1 at 6:59 PM. Members can access the presale on Nov. 10 from 10 AM to 10 PM through Ticketmaster Philippines. Mastercard users can access the presale from Nov. 11 at 10 AM to Nov. 12 at 10 AM through priceless.com/music. The Katseye.world artist presale is scheduled for Nov. 12 from 12 PM to 11:59 PM.
General ticket sales, meanwhile, begin on Nov. 13 at 12 PM via Ticketmaster Philippines. Additional details such as ticket prices, seat plan, and fan benefits, among others, will be announced at a later date.
As exciting as it is for fans to finally catch the group live in concert and sing and dance along to Gabriela, PINKY UP, Hootie Frutti, Animal, and more, what makes the moment even more special is that January 2027 is also when Sophia Laforteza returns from her hiatus. While it hasn’t been confirmed if Sophia will participate in the tour’s Asia leg, it’s not out of the question to see her doing so, especially since this will be her long-awaited hometown concert that many Filipino EYEKONS have been waiting for.
It won’t just be nice to see Sophia back on stage with the members, but also to do so in the Philippines would be a moment to remember. Who knows, there might even be special surprises in store given the nature of the show.
