Doing Double for the Project
“I like challenging work,” the new producer affirms. “Originally, I was only supposed to produce Manipula. But when I read the script, nagustuhan ko ‘yung story and the characters. So, I wanted to take on the role.” She continues, “It’s really tough! I really had to ask myself if kaya ko ba. Hindi madali ‘yung ganitong trabaho lalo na nung nag-uumpisa pa lang ako.”
But how did she manage her producing and acting roles for the film? Through collaboration with director Neal “Buboy” Tan. “We helped each other out sa set, kung paano pa ba namin pagagandahin ‘yung story.”

Besides Manipula, Jalandoni has more movies lined up for her fans—The Mourning After and Otoko Oona. The former is a triple genre of horror, comedy, and drama directed by actor Xian Lim, and starring Teejay Marquez, Devon Seron, Felix Roco, and Tart Carlos. Meanwhile, Otoko Oona is a Njel De Mesa-directed comedy drama shot in Nagoya, Japan.
