SM Supermalls and SM Mall of Asia threw an unforgettable Valentine’s bash for mallgoers and are extending the fun well after love month is over
What is love if not a collection of your brightest memories–like your first date or kiss? These fleeting moments are what keep the sparks alive in a relationship. But just in case you missed it, here are some of the special date night activities others got to enjoy at SM Supermalls and SM Mall of Asia (MOA)’s Valentine’s weekend festivities.

Firework Exhibition
Love was truly in the air as couples shared a moment under a fireworks display at SM MOA’s Seaside Boulevard. Co-presented by SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and Suzuki, the exhibition was a part of the 12th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC).
PIPC, the country’s longest-running pyrotechnic show, spotlights the world’s best fireworks manufacturers. Philippines’ own Platinum Fireworks Inc. and Austria’s Steyrfire Feuerwerke went head to head this Valentine’s weekend—painting the night sky in vivid hues and lights. The exhibition was electrifying, creating a truly magical scene for the couples in attendance.
Live Music
Apart from the stunning display, couples also got to dance and sing along to their favorite tunes all evening. Popular jazz-rock band Lola Amour serenaded the audience with some of their best hits. Hearing ‘Fallen’ live was a heart-skipping moment, even more for those listening along next to their date.
The Perfect Date Spots
Every couple is different and will have different opinions of what makes the perfect date. Luckily, there were options available for every vibe and price point. Food lovers got to share a romantic dinner at SM MOA’s cafes and restaurants—from Aperitif to After Tree. Couples who felt creative opted for a museum date at Space & Time Cube at S Maison, or made trinkets for each other at ARTBEAT. Meanwhile, others brought fun to their dates through a bowling game or two at SM Game Park Mall of Asia.
New Experiences Await
Like fireworks, Valentine’s Day was fleeting and gone in a flash. But you don’t have to wait another year to make lasting memories with the person you cherish the most.
For those who missed the Valentine’s fireworks display, SM MOA and PIPC will continue to hold fireworks exhibitions every Saturday, until March 15.
On February 22, France’s Luxfactory Fireworks and China’s Polaris Fireworks Co. Ltd. will bid for pyro supremacy with their exhibitions—an explosive way to wrap up the season of love. March is starting out with a bang, with exhibitions from USA’s Rozzi Fireworks and PIPC defending champion Steffes-Ollig Feurwerke of Germany this March 1. Meanwhile, South Korea’s Fassecom will attempt to outshine United Kingdom’s Pyrotex Fireworks on March 8. Lastly, Canada’s Royal Pyrotechnie and Platinum Fireworks Inc. will paint the sky on March 15—ending the competition with a grand showcase of their artistry.
