It is possible that we base our list of green flags on famous couples in social media. And celebrity couple Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff might be the first one that we think of when relationship goals are mentioned.
It has been quite a ride for the couple, who began their friendship in 2009, and through several ups and downs, made their way to 12 years of being a couple. Below, check out a timeline of their relationship:
Admiration and friendship
From Erwan’s perspective, meeting Anne was not a grandiose event that we usually see in movies. Erwan admitted in a podcast interview that he initially had a crush on the actress when he saw her in a bar. He did not set any expectations on their first meeting, that’s why pursuing Anne just happened naturally—and they were able to define the relationship as it evolved further through the years.
Dating
It was no secret to the public eye that Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff dated for seven years before getting engaged. In a recent interview with Will Dasovich, Erwan shared that their love story was carved like a slow burn romance. There was a time when they had to experience long distance, in which they communicated through online messaging, sending each other postcards, evergreen letters, and Erwan sending mixtapes for Anne because one of the many things that make them meant for each other is their similar taste in music.
From regular conversations through messages and calls, their relationship progressed to enjoying Halloween parties, attending musical festivals, and exploring the world together.
Engagement
Erwan and Anne’s engagement announcement is one for the books. Erwan, being a known content creator, travel vlogger, and storyteller, announced the next phase of their relationship through a YouTube video disguised as a travel vlog. Looking like a romantic scene from a movie, the engagement happened in the steep mountains amidst autumn leaves and trees in Connecticut, United States. Erwan also featured in the engagement video a flashback of their relationship from 2010 until 2016.
Wedding
Their wedding day finally happened on November 12, 2017 in an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful scenery of Queensland, New Zealand. The star-studded wedding was documented by Jason Magbanua and up until now, it’s one of the videos that could make you cry, as if the ceremony was just yesterday.
The romantic video includes the wedding vows of the bride and groom, in which Anne Curtis shared that she was beyond grateful because Erwan loves her as she is. Erwan, on the other hand, told their story of deep falls and heights that their relationship had to go through, but it was a beautiful sight to see how the couple managed to celebrate their testament of love on their wedding day.
Family of three
Many things have happened in their lives, as individuals and as a married couple, but one highlight that they get to enjoy up to this day is becoming parents to their daughter, Dahlia.
Dahlia was born in Australia during the height of the pandemic. Because of this, the couple was able to spend private time with their daughter away from the spotlight. Now, Dahlia is a bubbly 2-year-old girl who gets to put smiles on people’s faces because of her adorable photos and videos posted by the celebrity couple.
Fifth wedding anniversary
Erwan Heussaff took to social media a silhouette video of Anne and Dahlia to commemorate the years that they spent together as a couple, having celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary at the beach. Erwan and Anne were also celebrated by their family and friends from the industry as they marked being together for more than a decade.
