There is more to fashion than the loud and the ornate. LOEWE’s S/S25 fused practicality and the art of exaggerated proportions
Bold and distinctive designs have always generated buzz in fashion. Just think of monogram patterns, color blocks, and statement prints—eye-catching staples that have weaved themselves into season upon season of trends. While ornate designs certainly attract attention, there are instances wherein the beauty of a garment gets lost in the noise. So what happens when you tune it out is a thought LOEWE Creative Director Jonathan Anderson explores with the maison’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

Radical Reduction
Form serves as the backbone of each piece—a matter that Anderson and LOEWE recognize better than most. LOEWE’s Spring/ Summer 2025 collection veers away from visual noise and focuses on silhouettes in a process they call radical reduction.
Paying homage to classical composers and artworks, LOEWE translates the concept of melody and rhythm into clothing. The resulting pieces are full of movement—a must-have for every collector.

Hoop Skirts Reimagined
One of the covetable pieces from the collection is this sheer off-shoulder floral dress. Anderson reinterprets the hoop skirt, a recurring element this season, and uses it to add body to the otherwise light and airy crinoline fabric. The resulting design is reminiscent of water—taking the shape of its container, while remaining fluid.

Exaggerated Shapes
LOEWE breathes new life to everyday, utilitarian pieces by playing with lines and shape. Some of the standout pieces include this flared coat dress and this suit and pant combo with a bunched up hem and sleeve. The result? Pieces that are subtly powerful.

Billowy Leathers
If there’s one thing this collection is unafraid to do, it is to challenge the conventional use of fabrics. Leather gets a softer and more feminine edge through this bell-shaped jacket and loose bunched-up trousers—relaxed pieces that are great for frequent wear.

Unique Textures
Daily dressing can feel flat at times, but adding an interesting texture to your wardrobe rotation is a sure way to keep things interesting. LOEWE used feathers with printed images of famous artists to make this t-shirt. It’s deceptively simple, yet impossible to ignore.

By stripping away the noise and complexity, Anderson and LOEWE highlight the movement of fabrics, creating pieces that feel both refreshing and innovative. More than just wardrobe staples, this collection invites you to look beyond the surface and embrace a new perspective on style.
