At this year’s ABS-CBN Ball, the theme was Brighter Together, and it showed—in shimmering fabric, sweeping silhouettes, and a display that bloomed like spring. But if there was one thing brighter than the red carpet, it was the talent behind the scenes: the Filipino designers.

Michael Cinco

The global designer who knows how to make a statement. Michael Cinco outfitted all members of BINI, giving them a stellar presence on the carpet. He also graced Maymay Entrata in a stunning brown gown.
Mark Bumgarner

The designer is practically a one-man carpet. He dressed up Janine Gutierrez in romantic red, Maja Salvador in refined glamour, and Chie Filomeno in a look that exuded main character energy. Add beauty queens Michelle Dee and Christi McGarry to that list, and you’ve got a roll call only Bumgarner could pull off.
Ehrran Montoya

Ehrran Montoya was painting stories. Maris Racal showed up in a brushstroke fantasy, Janella Salvador turned into a luscious daydream, and Analain Salvador twirled in looks straight out of an impressionist canvas. Montoya understood the assignment and brought extra credit.
Francis Libiran

Francis Libiran dressed everyone from pop royalty to showbiz mainstays. Kim Chiu, Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, and Dimples Romana all wore Libiran’s signature modern-meets-mythic flair.
Rajo Laurel

Always a red-carpet favorite, Rajo Laurel worked his magic on both legends and headliners. Ruffa Gutierrez brought high polish to the carpet, while Angia Laurel gave off a sleek edge. Nadine Lustre, ever the fashion risk-taker, wore Rajo with sculptural artistry, turning heads as always.
Jot Losa

Jot Losa delivered across generations. Sharon Cuneta made her emerald comeback in sculptural satin, Kai Montinola twinkled in a youthful ball gown, while Ara Davao brought chic restraint.
Julianne Syjuco

Elisse Joson wore one of the night’s most talked-about gowns by Julianne Syjuco—a sheer corset fantasy wrapped in fairy-tale layers, dreamy enough to stop traffic.
Andrea Tetangco

Sofia Andres’ look—soft, structured, and stunning—was a Tetangco signature: fresh femininity filtered through layered softness.
Jaz Cerezo

Jane De Leon walked the carpet in Jaz Cerezo’s yellow corset gown with sculpted hips. It was a showstopper dressed up as a sculpture.
Anthony Ramirez

Kathryn Bernardo gave soft power and grown-up glamour in a sleek custom Anthony Ramirez creation—classic, cool, and refined.
Neric Beltran

Neric Beltran brought shape and sharpness. Andrea Brillantes stunned in an all-white power suit with a back blossom, paired with a BVLGARI necklace on loan from Heart Evangelista. Shaina Magdayao followed in a sculptural caramel dress with a drop waist and bubble hem.
Vania Romoff

Romoff’s romanticism was worn by Julia Montes in a voluminous pink ball gown and Bela Padilla in a sheer, mossy green number—both looking like they’d walked out of a dream sequence.
Michael Leyva

Regine Velasquez appeared ethereal in a soft, tiered white gown by Michael Leyva—romantic, refined, and punctuated with a black belt for contrast. It was elegance with a spine.
When it comes to fashion, Filipino designers do the most, full stop. No one understands narrative fashion quite like they do—turning themes into statements, tulle into storytelling, and thread into full bloom.
