Just in time for Disney+ to arrive in the Philippines, Disenchanted has finally released its much-awaited trailer showing a modern but enchanting fantasy on the new life of Giselle and Robert
Enchanted, the story that was first seen in 2007 with enchanting magical elements, a mix of animated and real life characters, and a crossover plot between fiction and reality, brings even more fantastical twists in its upcoming sequel.
Finally, a wish granted after 15 years, the Disenchanted trailer teased us with another epic journey of Giselle as she starts anew with her family in the town of Monroeville. Influenced by her desire to still live a fairytale life after finding out that happily ever after did not seem as easy as she imagined it would be, Giselle asked the Andalasian wishing wand to turn her life into a fairytale again.
The wish led to the twists and turns of the film, which included transforming Monroeville into a real-life fairytale land, Giselle taking on the role of a villain, and a new crossover plot that Enchanted was originally known for. Besides, it would not be a Disney flick without magical twists present.

Onboard to reprise their characters in the original film are Patrick Dempsey as Philip, the Manhattan lawyer and now-husband of Giselle, played by Amy Adams. The magical reunion of the cast will also consist of Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine and James Marsden as Prince Edward, picking up where they left off at the end of the first movie.
With new cast members such as Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays joining the ensemble, as well as exciting music and dance sequences, all wrapped up in its classic magical theme, we can still expect the distinct Andalasian feel that the first movie provided.
With the original elements returning to the sequel, Disney also inserted an impactful phrase in the trailer, which reads, “Nothing stays enchanted forever,” giving a slight hint on the wicked transformation of Giselle in the movie. The only way to find out how it’s all going to magically happen is by watching Disenchanted on Disney+ starting November 18, 2022.
