Heart Evangelista’s ‘cherry violet’ hair has a match made in lipstick heaven. Find out what it is—and other alternatives that come close
Heart Evangelista has worn the bags, the couture, the diamonds. Yet no matter what adorns her, the moment currently belongs to her hair—a cherry violet shade she debuted at the beginning of the year, which has since felt more like a Heart signature than a fleeting phase. And as if one signature weren’t enough, she revealed its perfect counterpart—her lipstick. Mid-glam for Jil Sander F/W25, caught in the soft chaos of another Fashion Serye reel, she swipes on a shade so precise it could have been lifted from the very strands of her hair.

The Perfect Cherry Violet Lip
As hairstylist Ghil Sayo prepped her hair for Milan Fashion Week Day 2, Heart officially started her Heart World Milan Fashion Serye. “First, lipstick of the day. Celine,” she said, pulling out a gilded tube.
“This one is from Kenny [Kenneth Goh]. This is the color…” she playfully trailed off, glancing at the bottom to double-check the not-so-effortless-to-pronounce name. “09 ZOUZOU Satin,” Heart finally revealed.
Instead of gliding on the lipstick in swipes, Heart dabbed the lipstick quite lightly across her lips to build up the pigment with precision. The technique gave her a softly blurred effect—yet still pigmented—much like a natural flush to match her cherry violet hair. It’s not every day you see a lipstick shade match a hair color this exactly.
More About the Lipstick
This is 09 ZOUZOU. One of 15 satin-finish shades from the Le Rouge CELINE collection launched in January, it’s a babydoll pink with a touch of mischief, recalling the effortlessly coquettish beauty of ‘60s heroines. The shade is rich without being brooding, and bold without trying too hard.

Beyond the color, its formula is pure luxury. Given its satin finish, it catches light and keeps moisture just right. It’s lightweight, enveloping, and creamy, and quite frankly the visual equivalent of silk charmeuse given its soft and quietly expensive look.
The Closest Matches to 09 ZOUZOU
Naturally, with Heart’s stamp of approval, 09 ZOUZOU may not stay in stock for long. But if you’re after that same cherry violet depth, whether in satin, matte, or a soft-focus finish, these are a few worthy alternatives.

Guerlain’s Rouge G in the shade 870 Le Prune Intense nails that same cherry violet shade with a smooth satin sheen. If you prefer something bolder, there’s Dior’s Rouge Dior in 975 Opera, which takes the color into matte territory with a cooler edge. On the other hand, the Tom Ford Lip Color in Impassioned leans warmer, with red undertones flirting their way up a little more. Meanwhile, go for MAC’s Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Stick in Wild Rebel for that softer, diffused look.
While most women choose lipstick to match their mood, Heart found one to define her era. Luckily, you don’t need your own Kenneth Goh to gift you one—just the right shade and a little dedication to the bit.
