The first thing you notice about Aon Somrutai Rattanawaraha is that she’s striking even when she’s subdued.
That much is hardly surprising for anyone who has seen the Thai entrepreneur on their TikTok For You page, where her joyful personality has won over millions. Seeing someone through a screen, however, is one thing; meeting them in person is another. Barely a day after arriving in the Philippines, Rattanawaraha is understandably quieter than the version the internet knows, but no less captivating and warm. Her grin comes just as easily, especially when she is asked how her first visit to the country has been.

Aon Somrutai on Her First Visit to the Philippines and All That Came Before It
“Honestly, I didn’t expect so many people here to know me! The moment people came up to me saying ‘Thank you, Kateyki!’ with the biggest smiles, I was so happy,” she shares with MEGA. “It made me realize that even a small, fun moment on the internet can travel so far and connect people from different countries. The Philippines has been so warm, and I already feel very welcomed here.”

Rattanawaraha’s most famous line that Filipinos recognize her for was actually improvised—delivered to her bodyguard whose real name, Tae, proved trickier for her to pronounce than she would have liked. She renamed him on the spot for her bit, blending the Thai honorific “Khun” with a playful suffix until “Kateyki” emerged. “I never expected those three words would become such a big part of my life,” she says. “I’m just grateful that something so simple could bring happiness to so many people.”

Simplicity grounds much of who she is when the cameras are off. There’s a practicality to her that stems from her upbringing. At an early age, she came to learn that wanting something meant working hard for it. By the time she turned seventeen, she was already selling pre-owned luxuryLuxuryrefers to a state of exceptional comfort, elegance, and quality, often characterized by premium craftsmanship, exclusivity, and superior experiences.Go to Luxury Glossary goods online. Her industrious drive and penchant for beautiful items would eventually become Perrine Porter, her luxury resale company built on the philosophy of circular fashion.

As Rattanawaraha sees it, sustainability is the natural extension of longevity—a realization she attained when her relationship with objects matured alongside her relationship with herself. Her resale business thrives on the idea that items carry stories that make them more interesting, knowing that a piece has lived a life before reaching your hands.
“I think stories make everything more meaningful. Whether it’s a person or an object, it’s the journey behind it that makes it special.”

When asked what she appreciates most about the woman she used to be, Rattanawaraha looks to her indomitable spirit: “I appreciate how fearless I was. Even when I didn’t know what would happen, I still gave everything a try. I think that courage is the reason I’m here today.”

Music, Acting, and Her Expanding Empire
It’s this specific trait of hers that allows her to continue expanding into different territories, with music being one of them after releasing her song “Thank You Kateyki (Lalala)”. Acting also became another addition under her belt when she made an appearance in the 2025 Thai drama The Next Prince. Brand collaborations with Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Chopard, and Revolve have further established her as a fashion fixture, while content partnerships with LISA, BamBam, and Jackson Wang have bolstered her image.

Even her last appearance at Paris Fashion Week, where she attended Yanina Couture, garnered her over a hundred million views with just a single video. And yet, Rattanawaraha isn’t as interested in metrics anymore. “I’ve become much calmer,” she reflects. “Before, I wanted everything to be perfect. Now I enjoy the journey more and don’t put so much pressure on myself. I’ve learned that being happy is just as important as being successful.”
From Wife to Mother: Her Most Personal Chapter
Part of that recalibration can be traced to November 2025, when Rattanawaraha and her husband—celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Nopparat Rattanawaraha, whom she calls “Doctor” with unmistakable affection—welcomed a daughter named Freyana. The couple had wed in an extravagant ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Bangkok, but the opulence of that day has since given way to quieter revelations. Motherhood, as Rattanawaraha is discovering, reorganizes a person from the inside out.

“Whenever I look at (my daughter), everything slows down. She reminds me to enjoy the little moments because those are usually the most meaningful ones,” she reveals. To Rattanawaraha, Freyana is what makes her pause amidst days crowded with content creation and business obligations. When life feels overwhelming, her child’s face is the memory she reaches for: “Even after a long day, seeing her smile somehow makes everything feel lighter. I still have the same dreams, but now they feel different because I get to share them with my daughter. She makes every happy moment even happier.”

To hear a woman known for pristine hair, designer mini bags dangling from manicured hands, and the theatrical glamour of her content speak this way is to witness the seam where persona meets person. Online, Rattanawaraha is a material girl. Offline, when no cameras await, she wears plain T-shirts to the airport, eats noodles, and moves through the world as someone who has not forgotten where she began.
“When I was little, I didn’t dream about being famous,” she confides. “I just wanted to make my family proud, do what I love, and have a happy life. Looking back now, I feel very grateful because life has given me even more than I ever imagined.”

What Comes Next for the Thai Star
Rattanawaraha’s own trajectory is still unfolding. Recently, she has turned her attention toward this nation. A partnership with GLXY Talent Management brings her one step closer into building bridges between her home country and this Southeast Asian archipelago that already adores her. She even gushed once about a possible collaboration with kindred spirit Heart Evangelista, whom she met during her trip to Paris.

Watching her trace the shape of what lies ahead, one cannot help but notice how little weight she assigns to outcomes. She has plans that she intends to focus on to bring to fruition, certainly, yet she’s not racing toward the horizon with her fists clenched.

Instead, Aon Somrutai Rattanawaraha moves forward light and unhurried, leaving room for the unexpected because the unexpected has seldom let her down. In her openness, she is more. All that she can hope for when others look at her journey is that they gather how to be present when receiving life’s unannounced gifts:
“I hope people leave with a smile and remember that happiness can be found in the little things every day. Sometimes that’s more than enough.”
