There were plenty of reasons to do a double take at Maris Racal on the Star Magical Christmas 2025 red carpet—her stunning Ehhran Montoya gown, Audrey Hepburn-inspired updo, golden star clutch, and striking red lips all came together to create a look that was both festive and refined. Makeup artist Jay Salcedo sat down with MEGA to share exactly how he brought her holiday glam to life.

“We wanted to go for something classic and timeless—clean, elevated beauty that complemented the elegance of her Ehrran Montoya dress,” the makeup artist started. For him, holiday glam meant glowing skin, softly sculpted features, and refined touches that still felt celebratory. “We kept everything fresh and understated, then finished the look with a bold red lip to bring that unmistakable holiday charm and tie the whole glam together.”
To achieve Racal’s radiant complexion, Salcedo focused on hydration and a natural glow during skin prep, followed by a lightweight base and precise spot concealing applied in thin layers for a skin-like finish. He set the look with a translucent powder that locked everything in without dulling the luminosity. For sculpting, he used the Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Duo, then added a seamless highlight with the Vice Cosmetics Pretty Fresh Palette.
The eyes remained soft and minimal—warm neutrals for subtle definition, wispy lashes, and polished brows with light detailing. The statement element was her lip: MAC’s Locked Kiss Ink in Ruby True, a bold, classic red that anchored the entire look.
Working with Maris has always been effortless, according to Salcedo. “She knows what she likes, she’s very collaborative, and she trusts the process, which makes it easy to refine and perfect a look,” he added. Her light, bubbly energy kept the glam session fun despite the tight schedule. “Even with the quick pacing, everything came together smoothly. The vibe was good, the team was in sync, and the final look turned out exactly how we envisioned.”
