Siobhan Moylan didn’t dare glance at tradition’s way—at least, not when it came to her bridal ensembles. The Filipino-Irish fashion model entered a new chapter with her now-husband Christian Tantoco in her own idea of bridal. You’d think she’d let her lover’s family empire dress her, but being directional was just way hotter. From a flashy pink to a yellow mini dress, her wardrobe, crafted mostly by Filipino designers, didn’t so much reject the bridal uniform as she deconstructed it—from silhouettes to symbolism. Aspiring cool bride-to-be’s, we hope you’re taking notes.

“The theme of our wedding was contemporary Filipiñana,” Moylan shares with MEGA. “All the designers I chose are modern Filipino designers that I believe are carving a new path for fashion in the Philippines.”
Bachelorette Dress by Martin Bautista

This was a modern-day goddess moment. “Martin Bautista and I go way back,” Moylan shares about the designer. “I saw this white dress from his BYS show in 2024 and fell in love with it.” The mini dress wrapped around her figure like the fluid fabric of an Aphrodite sculpture.
Bridal Shower Dress by Boom Sason

The Belo bride wore a custom Boom Sason piece to her bridal fête—one-shouldered, drop-waisted, and effortless. “Boom Sason is also a long-time friend, and I wanted something classic to wear for my bridal shower,” Moylan explained.
Welcome Party Dress by Jude Macasinag

Where traditional brides-to-be would wear white, Moylan wore pink. Designed by Jude Macasinag, it was the dream princess dress she claimed she never had as a child. “And my favorite color is pink,” she shared, and so, she answered the call of the pink siren dress.
Church Wedding Dress
As if Moylan could be any cooler as a bride, she walked down the aisle in a dress by her designer friend. “CJ is someone I’ve always wanted something custom-made from,” she mused. After trying on some archival pieces, the bride ultimately chose, with her mother’s guidance, a simple yet unconventional piece.

“I couldn’t imagine myself wearing a ball gown. I wanted something relaxed and laid-back,” she continued. And so after tea-dyeing the fabric to achieve a soft cream hue, she said yes to the dress.
Equally striking was her Juliet cap veil, an unexpected choice for a modern bride. Inspired by Kate Moss’s Galliano veil and vintage Filipino bridal photos from the ’30s, it was a chic revival. “I thought it would be cool to bring that back,” she explained.

We also spoke to her hair artist Patty Cristobal on building this effortless, understated beauty. “Working with Siobhan has always been the easiest, work-wise, because you can literally do anything to her hair and she’d still end up looking the most beautiful,” Cristobal shared. Keeping her hair down in relaxed waves seemed to be a natural choice. “It’s cool working with someone who doesn’t feel the need to conform to traditional ways of how to do things as a bride.”
Afterparty Dress by Toqa

Just when you thought tradition was long gone, there came the bride, proving everyone wrong in a yellow mini dress. “It felt very ‘90s,” she said of the ruffled number. “And I also wanted something colorful for this.” A complete departure from the usual white-and-quiet, but she owned the moment.
Wedding and Afterparty Shoes by Jos Mundo

Down to the shoes, she stayed true to the brief. The Hiling slingbacks by Jos Mundo, complete with hand-beaded shells and a custom wooden kitten heel, sealed her eclectic bride status.
