There are a few opinions that matter when a new Louis Vuitton collection debuts. The fashion critics, of course. The industry insiders, naturally. But the one perspective that never fails to capture the zeitgeist? Heart Evangelista’s. Front row, impeccably dressed, and effortlessly fluent in the language of style, she doesn’t just watch a show, but understands it, especially how it speaks to someone like herself: independent, stylish, and always in motion.

For the Louis Vuitton F/W25 collection, the global fashion icon arrived in a tweed suit from the Cruise 2025 collection. “It’s classic. A bit oversized, so it gave that modern, chic look,” she said. Tailored but eye-catching, refined yet contemporary—the exact balance that Nicolas Ghesquière has mastered over the past decade.

Now in his 11th year at Louis Vuitton, Ghesquière took a different turn. “Same DNA but very different from last season,” Evangelista noted. The show was fast-paced, joyful, and full of movement—an evolution rather than a reinvention. “It was all happy.” The styling focused toward straightforward layering, with pieces that appeared haphazardly thrown together but incredibly attractive.

The accessories, however, stole much of Evangelista’s attention. “I felt that they also introduced a lot of accessories,” she pointed out, captivated by the playful yet polished details that punctuated the collection. Transparent bangles embedded with colored crystals, stacks of rings, and glossy, hard-case violin bags—every piece felt like a collector’s item.

Footwear with sculptural heels and the multi-colored hard-case bags caught evangelista’s eye

Footwear also made a statement, with boots featuring an inflated, sculptural heel. “They were really nice and modern; still very sleek and chic.” As someone who leans classic in her style but enjoys experimenting with details, these touches resonated. “I love the boots. I was drawn to them.”

Evangelista interpreted the show’s underlying message as a reflection on change, fluidity, and the evolution of personal style

Beyond the fashion, the show told a story—one Evangelista read between the seams. “The only constant thing in life is change, and you could see that Louis Vuitton just continues to evolve.” The collection mirrored that sentiment, embracing fluidity and the personal styling choices that define modern elegance. “You have trends, but you could see how everything was so casually put on. It was very fluid, and that was beautiful.”

Evangelista noted that the collection retained its DNA, emphasizing joy and movement

If she could bring home one piece, she knew exactly what it would be. A pair of gowns—soft, languid, and edged with lace. “Lingerie-ish, but in a really nice, beautiful way,” she said, magnetized by their understated sensuality. A dress that could slip under a sharp blazer or stand alone in sophistication. “That’s my vibe now.”

The global fashion icon asserts Louis Viitton FW25 is for the woman on the go

And why does this collection resonate with today’s Louis Vuitton woman? “She’s on the go, she’s independent, but she’s effortlessly chic,” Heart Evangelista summed up. Nothing overthought, nothing stiff. Just pure, unforced style in motion.
