In time for World Mental Health Day, Nadine Lustre and BYS Cosmetics’ Lustrous launched their latest campaign, #IAmLustrous. The star led a group of women who all shared their own personal stories of struggle and triumph.

Lustrous tapped the following female personalities from a variety of industries: singer Kiana Valenciano, actress Vivoree Esclito, news anchor Gretchen Fullido, society personality Jerika Ejercito, host Bianca Valerio, blogger Vern Enciso, singer and Alopecia advocate Abby Asistio, entrepreneur Michelle Asence-Fontelera, writer and LGBT advocate G3 San Diego and celebrity handler Luz Bagalacsa.

In the campaign’s video, Nadine opens up about her own experiences with mental illness, stressing the importance of speaking out, something she was once so afraid of.

“When you talk to people, it’s like you’re all holding hands,” she starts. “It’s okay to be sad, to be vulnerable…at the end of the day, you’re going to be able to stand up a stronger person.” This was what inspired her to celebrate Lustrous’ anniversary in the way that she did.
